Sunday School

So you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Now what? Just like a young plant, you need to grow; being supplied with the best nutrients and water. The life of the Christian is nurished by God's Word and refreshed with HIS Living Water. That's what makes Sunday School necessary for every Christian that wants to know more about God and His Word. Each week a refreshing lesson from God's Word is taught in each class, giving direction and correction for the growing Christian. We have classes for ages 3 - Adult.

Regardless of the years we have been reading the Word, each lesson touches every life that allows the Word to fill their heart and mind. Church is more than the Sunday morning service brought by God's messenger, the Pastor. The Church is a living body of believers that seek to know more about The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. Sunday School also is a place to share our concerns in life with other believers, many times hearing how God has worked in their life; and always finding someone willing to pray for the needs we discover in life.

If you are missing out on Sunday School, you are missing out on God's Word and how It can change your life. We are currently praying for guidance, planning, and preparing to launch a small group ministry. Please let us know if this is something you are interested in joining!

Men's Ministry

It has been said that no man is an island and so it is with Christian men. The men of the church meet the third Saturday of each month for breakfast and Bible study. Currently, the subject matter is about leading the family as a Christian man.

We meet every third Saturday, at 8 AM, for a full breakfast and a devotional. The men of the church also do projects, as necessary, at the church or in the community.

Women's Ministry

Women of Westlake meet the third Saturday of each month September-May. Please check the calendar for the time and location. Under Acts 1:8: Please put that we are praying about engaging and being involved in Montreal. Currently in Montreal there is less than .5% of the population that is Christian.

Acts Team

We are a church that believes the Gospel is for everyone (John 3:16; Rom. 1:16) and therefore throughout the year we seek to do projects at the church and in the community that will point others to Jesus Christ.

Word of Truth Bible Institute

Have you ever wanted to know more about the Bible, but always thought Bible classes were too expensive, or not have the time to go to classes multiple times a week?

Westlake Baptist Church wants to offer you an alternative. Beginning the first Monday in August and the first Monday in January, 6:30 here in our fellowship hall, we will offer Old Testament, New Testament, and Theology classes. There are many benefits to this Bible study. We only meet on Monday nights for 16 weeks per semester. We meet from 6:30-9:30 with a meal provided as well as a chapel time to pray and sing songs. The cost is very affordable, it is only $50 per person or $75 per couple.

In the Bible Institute, we will go through the entire Bible and study the twelve major doctrines over a three year period. You can begin in any semester and continue until you have completed the entire three year period. It is great for Sunday school teachers, deacons, those who want to know more about the Bible, or even those who are new or exploring Christianity. For more information call the church office at 721-8784 or e-mail Pastor Justin at westlakebc@gmail.com.
